Well after a few months (again) away, I am back....
I aim to try and use my blog for my scrapbooking girls that I have been doing classes for. Any suggestions on teaching would be greatly appreciated.

Our great friends... What a beautiful Wedding. I was 7 months pregnant with Bailey here. This LO was for a scrap challange at my Local Scrapbook shop... The papers were so hard to work with but I'm happy with the turn out...

Jaxson's Nursery. There is so many things here that have meaning... The cot came from my sister in-law and used with both my Nephews. Bailey used it also and now Jaxson. When he is finished using it (currently having his room changed and will be putting him in a bed for his 1st Birthday) it will go back to Vik. The Winnie the Pooh teddies are also Vikki boys that Vikki and my Husband's Nana bought for when Matt was born. She is no longer here so we have used them as a token that she is watching over the boys. The Winnie the Pooh picture frame (it's not actually in any of these photos) and the Winnie the Pooh wall hanger are also from my Nephew's room. So sad to see them go and passed back but I am happy to know that we have had something for all 4 boys to cherish...

My sweet darling Jaxson. In this photo he is wearing a little jacket that Mick's Nana made (she made a pink set and a blue set) a few years before she passed away for him... So happy to have Jaxson in it and having it fit him...

When I took Bailey's photo wearing it, it was so hot that I waited for the weather to change but I ended up squeezing him in it just for some photos..

Poor little bugger! lol

Aonther page for my hubby! This red box was from his Nana's place. She use to put mint slice biscuits in it when he was younger. When Nana passed away, Mick's mum kept it and gave it to him when we bought our first house. So now - we always have mint slice biscuits in it too (with the exception of Tim Tams too!! hehe) we try to keep at least 1 left in the tin!

Now Bailey looovveeesss them so you can just imagine Mick and Bailey's little time together eating a biscuits and a nice cup of milo!

Yep - that's me! This layout was done in October 2010. I wanted to document some facts about me for my boys. I have since turned 26 and even though everyone thinks I am still a youngen - I feel so much older. Always have. I can't complain though - being 26 and have the things that I have in my life is perfect. Yes times can be tough (and even though my family don't think it is!)!

This lady is my Aunty Arthena and boy do I love her! I haven't got a relationship with any of my Aunties and Uncles like I have with her and her hubby Bill. My mum and Arthena never knew each other through their childhood as they have different mum's and their father passed away when Arthena was only a baby and my mum was 11.. So sad.... I will never let distance take over from our relationship and even though it's hard at the moment with two young boys, we have promised to at least see each other every year. She lives in WA and the cost of flights are so expensive so we met her down at Melbourne last year and this year we were suppose to met them in QLD but we have my son's 1st birthday/naming day party so they have decided to come over for that instead of us going to QLD. Aren't they just beautiful... Bailey actually has a photo of Uncle Bill and himself on his bedside table.. He always asks about him and the poor thing doesn't understand why he can't see them...

Love these two!!! Lots of glimmer misting here!!

My very proud boy! (and proud mummy and daddy too) He was fantastic when we started to toilet train him. The first week was hard but with the patience - he got it!

Just love this paper. I had this for about a year but I didn't know what to do with it! All the paisley and butterflies are flocked.. Jaxson... Love the way this turned out. He was born at 6.40pm on the 18th May 2010.. He was actually born still in the Amniotic Sack... Very rare and suppose to be goodluck.

Not sure why though...

My first son probably would have been the same but they broke my waters when I was 5cm dialated...

My sister made this storyboard for me last year. Love it.. I have already scrapped these photos for my Wedding album but I needed to scrap it again. Such a hard one to do as both my parents are separated and one of which is re-married...

My beautiful sister in-law. Love this photo.. She looked so beautiful I was told and also from going back on the photos - I can see why.. They have been married for 13 years today and together for 21 years.... How wonderful...

The above card was made for my good friend's twins Baptism.. I really didn't know how to create something that wasn't girly or boyish so this is what I ended up with..

Lots of layering here. This LO is of my Nephew. He will be 11 in April..

I wanted to make sure my Nephews are thought of while I create my Scrapbook LO's. With so many photos - It's hard to scrap EVERYTHING! So the important ones just have to be done at the moment!

My Nephew. Not entirely happy with this one but it's done and in an album so I can't complain. Joshua and my son Bailey have such a great relationship that I treasure. He has taught Bailey so many things in Bailey's first year. Josh didn't got to Kindy until Bailey was 1 so they had a whole year together....

Matt and Bailey also have a great relationship but there is just something between Josh and Bailey that gives them a special bond. I hope it stays like this as I am sure when the boys are older - they don't want a little kid hanging off them! lol

This LO was a re-do! Wasn't happy with the 4 pages I had done previously.. Too many photos so I had to cull them down. The flowers are from my cake that my sister in-law made me for my shower tea...

The photo on the far right and down the bottom are of me and my 4 bridesmaids.. The other two next to them are of me and my bestfriend and me and mum!

My gorgeous husband.. Isn't he just gorgeous??? haha

As you can see - this is his Kindy photo.. Who would guess that I was only 1 when this photo was taken!! Crazy haha... I love doing the school photos - I seem to be able doodle more!

Jaxson's Birthday Decorations

Hi all,

Here is a sneak peak of what I have been up to lately. My youngest son is going to be 1 in May and we will be giving him a Naming Ceremony on the same day as his 1st birthday party. I just want it to be special.

I have made 50 cup cake cases, 50 tooth pick decorations for the cup cakes, 30 gift bags (they aren't finished yet but I have to put the gifts in before it's completed) I will be giving the guests a gift back for each family to say thank you... There will be more kids then adults so i thought that was easier than having a lolly bag...

I need to get cups to make tags so that people can put the kids names on them and I will be making his birthday sign. My elderst son who is 3 will be painting on large rolls of paper the colours of his theme for the table cloths but I will get him to do that closer to the day...

Thanks to Vikky from Scrapbook.com (simply papers) for her blog and turtorial on how to make this big lace flower. I just used a doily behind the lace. So easy!

This flower is for my sister's photography prop. It's her birthday in a few days and I wanted to give her things for her business! I bought some materials for backgrounds/props with a hug Aussie flag. I am giving her a gorgeous photography book that is full of techniques and ideas and thought I should give her some flowers since I have been making plenty of them! The flower has glitter on the edges and in the middle but you can't see it very well.

This LO is of two very special friends of mine. I met Michele through work 8 years ago and she has been like a mum to me. Always looking out for me and my family. She is a friend that I treasure dearly and I will never grow apart from her. She always know's the right words to say whether it's to cheer me up or just in general.. Her boys are the most sweetest and loving/caring boys I have met (including hubby)....

We asked hthem to be godparents to Jaxson and they were honoured. Both of their reactions made me realise we have done the right thing by choosing them.

I used Glimmer Mist for this LO (the first time with the blue - very messy lol) This is one of my favourite LO's :)

My dear ol' Morning Tea girls - Love them! Not only because one of them is my Sister in-law and one is my Mother in-law but because they are a great bunch of girls... We have shared many stories and lots of tears and laughs (mainly because we are laughing so much) and they have a special bond with my boys (the poor buggers are the only kiddies now as all of the other kids are at school) I love em'!!

These photos were of our Morning Tea Christmas Party - One of the hubby's came home just in time to take a group photo - thankfully as we were stacking chairs and all sorts so that we could use the timer - lol

Well this LO is another fave. Didn't take me long and I just used the perfect soft colours from mainly scraps... I am loving flowers at the moment but it's really hard to use them when I have boys..

My friend Sharon from Sharon's photography took these for her first pregnancy photo's. She has been doing photography for years but has never had the oportunity to take pregnancy one's so she cornered me! lol

It was really hard for me to say yes as my sister had just started her own photography business but thankfully my sister doesn't mind at all as she thinks highly of Sharon and they both get along great!!

Both Tina and Sharon will be doing the photography for Jaxson's Naming Day/1st Birthday in May and they both decided together that it will be his gift..

This is a photo of my Nan and Pop from my Dad's side of the family. Pop passed away in March 2004 of Cancer. My Nan and Pop were married for 56 years. My dear Nanna is still around and going strong! She has a walking club and goes walking everyday! It will be her 81st Birthday only a few days before my bubba is due in May.

Pop is missed everyday and I am so grateful that my husband got to spend some quality time and get to know this wonderful man!

This photo was taken from my Dad's 40th Birthday - It's actually a photo copy of the original photo and I can't seem to locate the owner of it so that I can scan the negative and have an original copy!

The journalling is on the back of the LO for my own personal reference.

Well the following LO is for the Design Dollies Challange - The challenge is to create a Valentine's Themed project... with a twist! Red and Pink may NOT be your primary colors.

The photo is of my husband's Nanna and Papa.

I have used a necklace of Nanna's that my mother in-law gave me for another LO. Little did I know at the time it was real pearls!! :S - But at least it's on something that is treasured.

I was very grateful to have met my Mick's Nanna before she passed away in 2003.
Unfortunately I didn't get to meet papa as he passed away when Mick was only 8 years old. I have heard some wonderful stories of him and I know that he was a very loved man. Both Nanna and Papa were beautiful people and I am glad they are a part of me now (even though I haven't met Papa and didn't have much time with Nanna - I still feel that they are looking over my family)

I have done alot of distressing with this LO!! I have even sprayed the cut curtain with a perfume that Nanna use to wear - Gucci - Rush - Which is a favourite perfume of mine even before i met my husband's family...

I am currently going through my piles of photos that I want to put in albums and scrapping them before our new addition is due! I have started in a competition to finish 50 LO's by the end! I am hoping to do more as I am sure when bub comes along there will be lots of brothers/baby LO's!! lol
I am also going through my piles of lo's that I have scrapped these past 6 years and throwing some out as well as re-doing them! I use to do some interesting lo's I must say and I am now happy with how my recent ones are turning out so if I can get rid of some then I also have room for new one's!!

This is 2008 Christmas! What a task it is to do! Christmas is always a snap happy day and by the time you get to develope your pictures you wonder why you took so many!! lol
But hey - I'm not complaining, my kids can always say they had enough pictures taken!!!
I have just used up some old Christmas paper and some embellies I have had lying around with Kaiser rhinestones and Bella Chipboard.

Oh I am so in love with this lo! I kinda scraplifted this off a friend on Scrapbook.com - ClaraD - She is such an inspiration - I love her work!
The photos are of Bailey and his close little buddies! Charli and Lucas are my friend Brooke's kids. They play so well together too. I can't wait to watch them grow up. Brooke has had another little man Jake and he is such a little darling too!
I have used Lime rickey paper, left over scrap paper, Bella Chipboard and ribbon.

I have missed a whole month!!! Sorry guys!!

Hi all!
Wow it is nearly the end of September and I haven't even posted a thing in August! It just goes to show how quickly the time is passing!

We have moved into our new home and I keep wondering what the stress was about!! lol
Michael has started playing Basketball again - He hasn't played for 9 odd years so it's fantastic to see the boys winning most weeks. He is back with a team he use to play with before I came around (my brother in-law and a few of their mates). They still have Jordan in them!! hahaha
I have done a few layouts in the past month or so - I will post them soon!

I would like to say a big Congratulations to my friend Katherine - aka - Kate!! For the birth of her little girl Annika. She will bring you much happiness!!! I also have to say that your big Wedding day is nearly here and I hope that you relax and enjoy your day! You really deserve it honey!

My best friend Brooke is also a big mention on my blog! I met her when I met my husband nearly 10 years ago and even though we missed out on a few of those years of friendship - the past 4-5 years makes up for the time we did miss out. I don't know where I would be today if I didnt have you in my life! You just always know what to say to make my day! I love ya honey and I can't wait for our kids to grow up together.... xx

Before I am off to post some layouts - I am getting very excited about Beyonce Friday night!!!! A great night out with Loz is what the doctor ordered! haha

I can't believe July is nearly over...........

Wow, I can't believe July is nearly over. We have been so busy with selling and buying that the time has really flown.

School's on holidays with half yearly reports out! Crazy to say that in 6 more months it will be Christmas! Yep I have used the C word! Sorry guys!

If you know me then you would know I am an organised FREAK!! lol

I have got 90% of the kids christmas and birthday pressie's done!! It's hard having Bailey's birthday right on Christmas.

Anyway we will be moving in 20 or so days!! Wow my little home will just be filled with memories. I can't wait for a fresh new start with our new house! We will be moving about 50 minutes away from our home town. My hubby has worked hard for us to get the house we wanted and if it means a life style change than that is what we will do!
I can't wait to move in! We don't have to do anything to house which is a bonus! But we will have lots of un packing to do but hey - it's exciting!!

Wow it has taken me 7 months to do this page! I have sooooo many photos of his birthday it's crazy. Bailey's birthday fell on a Thursday when he had swimming lessons so he had a cake then. He had a cake for morning tea on Friday. His birthday party was Saturday and on Sunday we went up to the Central Coast for a family gathering and had a little birthday cake then too!!

So you can imagine the opportunites to take photos!!

I am happy with the turn out on this. I have use Stampin Up' paper.

My Long Lost Aunty

This is the story about my Long Lost Aunty - I love her dearly and I am so glad we have found her!! She is my only actual Aunty (all my Aunties are either married in the family or are my mum's actual Aunties!!!)

My Mum’s Story!

Mum’s father had died in a tragic accident when she was about 11 but he re-married a lady named Nina when mum was about 5-6.
She had 3 boys to Arthur and was pregnant at the time of Arthur’s death and that is how mum’s sister Arthena got her name (after Arthur and Nina)

I remember my mum telling me when I was about 8 years old that she had 3 other brothers and a baby sister but hasn’t seen them since her father died.
Mum had searched for them for many years but had no luck. She kept her memories through photos and her thoughts.

Last year I sat down with mum and asked her to give me as much information about them as possible so that I can try and locate them. I didn’t know where to start but Mum had just separated with my dad after 24 years of marriage and I knew that she really needed her family through this hard time of her life.

My first thing was to email Find My Family, which is a TV show that looks for long lost family members.
I waited for about a week and then realised Facebook might help me.
I found a profile that wasn’t private and had a photo with a date of birth and noticed his date of birth was the same as one of mum’s brothers. I thought it was a coincidence but thought I’m only going to find out if it’s him by sending an email. Much to my surprise I got one back about a week later and he confirmed information that I had asked and he told me they have been looking for mum and her brother David also.

What an amazing feeling it was to know I found them! Mum and Uncle David were forever back and forth with phone calls for about 2- 3 weeks and they decided to fly over to WA to see them. Just before they went to WA, one of the brothers Joe and his wife Wi ended up coming over to Sydney because they couldn’t wait to meet them.

I was in the middle of organising my mum’s surprise 50th Birthday party, and thought it would be an extra surprise if they could fly over too. I knew it was short notice but thought I would ask them anyway. Once mum and Uncle David had been to WA, Arthena and her husband Bill bought their tickets straight away. They didn’t want to miss another milestone. They have already missed so much through the last 40 years.

It was the best feeling to finally meet my Aunty! She and I have so much in common which we discovered through the phone calls but to finally put a face to a name that I have been wondering about through the years was just fantastic.

I have since meet Joe and Graham but am waiting for a time to see Brad.
Arthena and Bill are coming over to Sydney again in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to spend more time with them.
This is a story to treasure in our family and it won’t be forgotten.

Wow what a month!!!

What a month!!

I have had our house on the market (which is why I haven't had the time to change my blog!! Thanks Vik for letting me know it's out of date!! lol)

We had a buyer who kept pushing the cooling off period back and ended up waiting for 25 days for anything to be done, in the end the bank didn't want to give them the money so we had to put it back on the market!! Crazy time!

We also had a house that we were buying so we had to pull out of the purchase!!

What a time for stress! My emotions were crazy! I didn't know whether I was Arthur or Martha!!

After having the house back on the market for a week - We had another buyer! This lady has the money and loved my house like it was her own and she has been looking for a place since the beginning of the year! We didn't end up loosing much money in the end because we made sure her offer would cover it. She had a 5 day cooling off period and has now put the 10% deposit on.

Tomorrow we are going to do the same with the house were purchasing! The current owners had told us they are going to wait 3-4 weeks and see if we sold our house before they do anything theirs!!

In the end we don't actually loose anything!! I am so excited!!

People say (and I am a big believer of it) that things happen for a reason. Not sure what it was - maybe because this lovely lady has been looking for a long time and it was meant for her.

Or because our fixed loan ends in about 2 weeks so we don't have to pay the bank any cancellation fees -what ever it is - I am happy with the turn out!

Another thing that happened this month was my darling Uncle Terry passed away......

I now know that he is at peace and is not in any pain. He was a fighter!

The Eulogy was amazing - Uncle Ted (Uncle's Terry brother) and Danny (Uncle Ted's son) really kept it together through the whole thing. It was all about Terry's amazing life - I didn't know much about his childhood but knew he was such a generous person and knew that his whole life was a blessing and after hearing what they had to say just makes everything that I ever thought of true.

Thanks Danny and Uncle Ted! You are also amazing people and I am glad that you are part of my life!!! As to all the McGaughey Family! (It's a big one!! lol - My Nan has 12 Brothers and Sisters!! Then there is the husbands - the kids - the grand kids - the great grand kids!! haha)

I also had my little Nephew Joshy turn 6!

What a number! I look at Bailey who is 19 months soon and can not imagine him turning 6! My sister in-law Vik is such a strong person (remember that Vik!! xx) Joshy is her baby and is just getting so grown up now. He is achieving allot in Kindergarten (I think he is the best in his class! lol - Yes I am bias!!) but before we know it - he will be in year 1! Where does the time go?????

Vik - I know you're so proud of who they are becoming! Matt is a little genius in his own little way and will set himself up in life with his technology mind!! hehe

Bailey and the boys are going to be become close cousins and I just can't wait to watch them!!

My little Niece is like nearly 3 months old!!! Where did that time go! She has such a little personality! My sister Tina is going really well! I am so proud of her!!

Anyway enough about all of this - I am about to upload a page!!

Well changes were made to my Aunt and Uncle's wedding. They requested to have immediate family and have it at their own home. He ended up in hospital the week they started to organise it so by having it at home he will be comfortable.

It ended up being last Sunday and I have already seen plenty of photos!

It looked like a magical day with lots of love in the air. I have been told by my younger cousin that there was not a dry eye in the place and it was one of the most memorable day of his life.

I ended up sending them flowers last week which was from my mum and sisters too.

Aunt Linda asked if we can see them in the next week or so. We still ended up organising the chairs from Mick's work and they were most thankful for that. I am always willing to help out others!

My decision to go back to work has come up quick! I have decided to give it a go and if I don't like it then I will let them know it's just not for me.

I will actually start work this Thursday so I am a little emotional about leaving Bailey for the day. It's not that my darling mother in-law wont be able to provide Bailey with the same care, I just feel quilty about it! I will get over it when I get myself into a routine though.

Sad News

Sunday I got a phone call from my mum explaining to me that my Uncle Terry who has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer last year (he has also had an eye removed from a cancer in the eye) and has only got 6 months to live and they still don't think he will make the 6 months.
My head started to spin! I knew that he was dying but when you get told a time, it is just really hard to comprehend the inevitable is going to happen.

I was also told that Uncle Terry and Aunty Linda have never been married before although they have been together for 33 years. (Linda is actually my Nan's baby sister but have always been an Aunt to me.) I have been told that we are having a wedding/goodbye gathering in a couple of weeks which will be sad but I will be happy to see him and show both Linda and Terry our support.

Well I hope by the end of April everything will start settling down for me and my little family!! We are dealing with allot of mixed emotions and stressful times. I will keep my chin up as best as I can!

I also got a phone call late yesterday from my old work wanting me back on a casual basis. They have said I can come in when I want and if I can't make a day then that is fine just give them a call. They only want me to do the odds and sods that just can't get done on the day to day basis but I think I will be happy to go back on as a casual. I need something to focus on other than the issues that are going on and I need some serious shopping to do for all my scrap booking needs!! ha ha

This is a Fascinator/hair piece that I made for my cousin's Wedding that I was Matron Of Honour for. I used silk flowers and silk leaves with a touch of fine feather and kindy glitz for the tips of the flower.
I love making and wearing flower pieces.

This page was done on Friday but completed on Sunday. It wasn't what I expected but I am happy with it.

This is Bailey with his Parramatta Jersey. It was a gift from a bunch of friends we have had for a few years. It was for Bailey's Naming Day Ceremony on the

16-03-08.

He didn't fit in it very well as he was a chubby baby but It was enough for me to get photos.

I plan to get it framed and put on his wall.

As you can tell my husband love Parramatta too!!

Bailey got his first tooth when he was 5 months old. The second one came only a week later.

This was a page I have been meaning to do for ages.

It was a little sad for me to do this page as I only got to know my husband's Nanna for 3 years. She had accepted me from the first time I met her.

Unfortunately she only got to meet one of her great-grandson's, but I am glad that she at least got to meet one.

Well hello people!

I have finally convinced myself to make a blog!

A little about me.....

I am a stay at home Mum and I enjoy spending time on my scrapbooking desk - And I do say - I love to be on the Computer!!
I have been with my husband for nearly 9 years and have been married for 2! We have a son Bailey who is 14 months old. He keeps me busy!!

I have been scrabooking for 5 years now and still love every minute of it. I love using lots of photos on a page!

My purpose on this blog.....

I will be adding some of my favourite scrapbooking pages and cards that I have done through the last 5 years.
Which I will also add every month a new Page Maps sketch that I hope you can create your own style with it. I would also love to see your work!

I have been making some fascinators/flower hair pieces (which I am obsessed with at the moment) and will be adding these to my gallery also. At some point through the year I will be selling them for a small price.

Well I am off to do some work to my blog!
